Anyone have any insight into trends exhibited by those selected and those FOS'd. Curious what signals this last board sends by way of who gets promoted

1) As per the precept, if you complete O5 Command, you make O6
2) If you don't screen for O5 Command and instead complete O5 XO, you get promoted
3) If neither 1 nor 2, then kick but as a DIWC and come out on the topside of the crunch

That's interesting, I always figured command at any/every level was important, didn't realize that it was a virtual guarantee to the next paygrade. I guess that makes sense.
Do you think the DIWC part means that the community values that as the most (or one of) valuable O-5 Milestones? That would actually be in line with the creation of the IWC O-6 CCSG billet being built up. I never got the impression it was a highly valued billet, but that was just guess work.

Important to note that DIWC is no longer going to be an 1810-only job. Senior IW community CDR on staff will now get that distinction.
So what is the new job/job description for our CDR afloat MS job? When you find out, please let me know.

I know the new IWC positions are all-IWC jobs, but I was not tracking that DIWC was being changed from 1810 to all-IWC, as well. What's your source for that tidbit, if you don't mind my asking?
