Applying to OCS

Postby fmgray4 » Wed Oct 14, 2015 7:00 pm

I am an active duty MC2 who is looking to apply to OCS for Intel. Do I need to take the OAR? If so, is there a good source of information or study materials I can get my hands on?

MC2,

The OAR is required to apply to any of the IDC communities, and more specifically a minimum of 45 is now the required score without a waiver.

I know there are study materials out there, but can't speak for any one working over the other. Amazon has a few if you do a search that may prove useful to you.

You should talk to you Command Career Counselor about the application process at your local command and if you have more questions about a given community and want to contact someone, you can contact the Officer Community Manager (OCM) located at BUPERS whose info can be found on their web page: http://www.public.navy.mil/bupers-npc/o ... nance.aspx

Best of luck in your pursuit of a commission!
