i saw that, as well. the last post i saw was from yesterday outlining discussion points at the IW get together in Norfolk. maybe it is some sort of technical issue which will be resolved quickly, i hope.

Why's that? Just a hunch, or do you know something?

Once deleted from BLOGSPOT, it can't be retrieved. He may be able to bring it back in another format or under a different name. Perhaps as an 'invitation only' password protected blog.

Why would it need to be password protected? Back to your previous post about not seeing it again... are you referring ONLY to the technical issue of retrieving a deleted blogspot page or something else?

i don't care what medium the community manager uses, but it sure was nice that he had one.

It was nice while the blog lasted. Here at NPS we don't have a direct line to all of the gouge on what is happening in the 1610 community. It's always nice to know what is happening in your officer community! ... I say bring it back so we can read the truth about what is going on. When CDR Heritage came to NPS he really pushed the blog and everyone was onboard, I even signed up ... and I don't sign up for anything online.

Communication throughout our community is an issue ... and here we go again. Keep the JO's in the dark ... the expression as I have heard it is "a JO should be seen and not heard"

I'm going to hold out hope that the disappearance of the blog is related to a rational explanation not connected in any way with intentionally limiting information heading out to consumers who belong to the community. It simply doesn't make sense for the disappearance to be the product of intrigue originating as a method to "keep us in the dark." There wouldn't be anything to be gained by making it go away, other than a serious loss of legitimacy for those who ensure that it did. I'm not ruling it out, but I believe most folks know that intentionally withholding information is a terrible idea over the long term. I'm sure we'll find out what happened sooner or later.
