Re: NAVIFOR vs. FCC vs. C10F

What if we reached further down and asked "Who gets to determine the capabilities a CPT or CMT are supposed to have?" A complex question that I certainly cannot answer, but easily on par with Fleet size, warship capabilities, aircraft weapons systems, etc. But getting back to the Navy... ...

Re: NAVIFOR vs. FCC vs. C10F

Just curious if anyone else is unsure about the specific roles & responsibilities of NAVIFOR/C10F/FCC and how the Fleet utilizes each for IW/CW support. I recently met someone with orders to NAVIFOR who was asking different officers how these organizations fit together and none of them had a co...

Re: IWC Synch

All good discussion among CW/IW experts which only highlights that the IW community needs to work on aligning and integrating to validate the creation and contributions of the IW Community to other Communities. Exactly! If we truly organized and operated as a community we wouldn't need cross-detail...

Re: IWC Synch

That's a fair point. Recoding would identify the "why" which would instill purpose and cause a better understanding for where we should better integrate communities inside IWC commands. We'd very likely get more out of such an approach than out of a "dis-associated Intel/IP/CWO/METOC...

Re: Prior Enlisted, Why Do So Few Stay For Command?

Looks like you answered your own question.

A note on command, from someone who has never held it. There are LOTS of ways to influence, mentor, and lead Sailors. Command is just one.

Re: MilSuite

For the record, my comments had nothing to do with our page. I was simply venting, on a Monday morning, about another government software application (milSuite) that is less than impressive.

Well done to our friends in Millington making this site happen.

Re: MilSuite

If you haven't heard, the Millington team rolled out a new website in MilSuite. Sign up and search for "Navy Crytpologic Warfare Officer Group". Contact your Detailer if you have trouble finding it! Lots of great info posted there! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk First time on milSuite...

Re: Joint Progression vs. STEM Masters?

Has anyone attended the war college and spent the summer there? I understand that there are no classes, so I'm wondering what the school has you do. I doubt people are taking 45-60 days of leave in the summer. Thanks ahead of time! Yes. The school shuts down, leaving you the option to "work&qu...
