I used to have that, but was told that the Navy (or dod?) had all their licenses pulled due to lack of funding and wouldn't be renewing it. I was a little perturbed because Rosetta Stone was probably the best computer-based language training I've seen. Everything else is ridiculously ineffective (an...

The changes that occurred with tuition assistance eligibility within the last year is something everyone needs to be aware of. Sometime within the last year (or two already?) the TA rules were changed so that if you earned a degree on active duty utilizing Navy money the Navy would no longer pay for...

Apparently he was very open with his business dealings from the very beginning... and regardless, the SSO could take his clearance, but they wouldn't discharge him from the Navy for something like that. He would have been force-converted or something similiar.

I don't know where the bar is set, but I had a friend who worked with a CTN who basically had a side-job where him and his wife designed and ran an online webcam business. He got into details when he told me the story, but basically this guy's wife was Russian, so they put ads in Russian newspapers ...

I guess I was the other no vote.

I simply voted that way because I had to agree with the judges' interpretation of the Constitution. After reading the post above mine though... I think life in prison might be worse than death, and I'm all for that for someone who does something like that.

Someone is missing something, the 18 slots I believe means that they have to be able to get into OCS first. Last 6 months of IWBC I know of 2 prior CTs. So I would say we are well below the 18+ we need before it becomes an issue. There were 2 prior CT's (3 if you count the former Chinese linguist, ...

So if they are guaranteed a slot through OCS, do the number of CT's who wish to stay in the community and become an IW officer ever exceed the amount of OCS slots? If I'm reading your question accurately, you are asking if the number of CT applications to OCS from all of the enterprise facilities a...

I do not see LDOs included in that number. As far as I know a CT can go through... Academy - 2 (if you are RL) STA- 6 OCS- 18 ROTC- I must admit im not sure how it works. 24/28 at least for a direct accession. Sounds like plenty of wiggle room for CTs to get in or I am grossly misunderstanding. USN...
