Because the O-4 XO/OIC screening specifically screens to a bank to avoid the exact situation we're sort of discussing here. Are you sure you're correct in stating that the screenings are d...

Re: Command/Milestone Results

QIO shouldn't even be in the instruction. It doesn't mean anything, other than an available body with correct timing. It does mean something and apparently needs to be there. Two officers that went to command this year were QIO. The list includes specific names, not just anyone who wasn't selected....

Re: Command/Milestone Results

Good point. Not to mention the "non-published" O-5 CDR list that's not known until they need someone to take a billet. What if those individuals (unaware that they're on that list) decide to retire or take another position based on retirement plans? How do you plan for that? What exactly ...

Re: Command/Milestone Results

Calls have been made. Not sure who they are calling, vice letting find out when the results post.

Case in point: I never got a call about milestone selection but did about command.

Wouldn't it be nice if they let the community know what rules they use?

Re: FY19 board Statistics (CAPT & CDR) - 1810

They are useless because we continue to get the denominator wrong. When I was the OCM (cue the old guy music), I owned the stats and changed the denominator. The denominator was not the number of selects, but the number of people who shared the experience. X of 12 who were CRCs were picked, etc. Su...
